What would any Collingsworth man (or any true cowboy) do when there’s a woman in danger?? Langston Collingsworth will soon find out when the daughter of his high school flame suddenly shows up on his doorstep announcing that her mother, Tricia, has possibly been abducted.
Tricia has things in her past that even Langston doesn’t know. She’s managed to build a wall around herself to protect herself and her daughter, but every minute with Langston tears at this wall.
Is there anything sexier than a cowboy riding in to rescue the gal in distress? I’m not sure there could be anything sexier than Langston heading off to rescue the possibly abducted Tricia. And when he finds her---can he let her go? Watching this oil company President lose his level-headed ways is balm for the spirit.
A totally suspenseful story that keeps the reader guessing up to the last page. Each turn of the page notches up the sensual tension building between Langston and Tricia. You just know whenever they get together, it’s going to be magic. I thought the suspense was skillfully written and the romance was perfect. I also loved the way Ms. Wayne sets up the rest of the books in the series as well as a possible spin-off series for the Collingsworth women. This looks like a high-spirited series as big as Texas.
