She’s found the perfect man in Henry, and he’s asked her to marry him. But if he’s so perfect, why does Sydney Gordon need to take time to think about the proposal?

Doing her thinking while chaperoning high school kids on a tour of London and Paris may not have been the best idea. Especially when Sydney runs into an apparent mugger and sparks fly!

Nick Martelli is an unofficial chaperone to his brother’s group of kids. Yet when he "meets" Sydney all he can think about is spending time with her, getting to know her, as dangerous as that may be on several levels.

As she gets to know Nick, Sydney is even more bemused. While Nick may appear irresponsible and kidlike, she can’t help but start to fall for him. Considering their time together a "fling" of sorts doesn’t help and only adds to Sydney’s confusion. Knowing she’ll never see him again should help her decide what her answer to Henry should be. He is the perfect man, but is he perfect for her?

When Nick shows up on her doorstep, things start to happen in more ways than one. Sadly it seems as if her head may overrule anything her heart may say.

Nick and Sydney (and their story) came across reminiscent of a Cary Grant/Irene Dunne--Doris Day/James Garner--Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie. Their story has the same sense of romantic comedy and heart those screen couples are known for.

Terry McLaughlin has written another charmer in A Perfect Stranger. Everything is here; a perfectly matched couple, great supporting characters, spot on comedic and romantic timing, and no loose ends left dangling.

Very nicely done!
