Ven, or Lord Vengeance, is brother to Prince Conlan of Atlantis and has been assigned to go as an ambassador to try to forge an alliance with a rebel group fighting the corrupt vampire and shifters. Little does he know that the rebel he is meeting is female, beautiful and a witch.
Erin Connors is a witch with a mission. She and the coven she is in are trying to stop the dramatic rise in vampire turnings in the Pacific Northwest region. When she goes to meet with the Atlantean, she never expects him to be so handsome. She also never expected that he would evoke the dreaded Wilding in her. She works hard to tramp down the evil trying to take over her mind.
As Ven and Erin join forces to battle an evil vampire named Caligula, they are locked in more than one type of battle. Even as they unite to fight the Caligula and his search for world domination, they battle the feelings raging in them for each other. Can they allow their attraction to blossom—or will it kill both of them?
Another fantastic installment in the Warriors of Poseidon series. I haven’t run across such a fresh story in quite a while. The Atlantis theory really lends itself to a series of books and while each one builds on the other, they all remain unique and engage the reader. I think you’ll love Ven for his looks, brawn, and his compassion towards humanity. He may be a warrior, but he’s a gentleman at heart. Erin is a feisty girl who is determined to avenge the deaths of her family members. Her character grows exponentially as she learns more of the Wilding and what to do with it.
Expect twists and turns to the last page. It’s another page-turner that will keep you up all night trying to finish reading it.
