The Baby Interview was one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a while. It's taken the theme of boy meets girl from opposite side of the tracks, they fall madly in love in an instant, overcome an obstacle, and live happily ever after, and added a refreshing twist!

Cole is a man who has all the comforts and luxuries that money can buy, yet he’s desperately missing the things that money can’t buy: love, companionship, and a BABY! Suffering from the bruises of a childhood that left him feeling neglected by his parents, and after suffering a humiliating divorce, Cole hatches a plan to just BUY a baby!!! He begins interviewing women willing to have his baby via surrogacy and sign away all rights to the child. And here, is where the drama begins!

Cole, sees Lucy at his house, and assumes that she’s there for the baby interview, when she’s just there to deliver some flowers! An ‘interview’ follows and Cole and Lucy’s journey to happiness begins! This book is a great read, and throws some unexpected twists in. It’s a great character study on two people fighting hard NOT to fall in love. It deals with some of our most admirable character flaws: stubbornness, inability to trust both yourself and others, pride, and how lying to yourself is never a good thing!

Cole and Lucy share some humorous moments that leave you laughing out loud and some poignant moments that leave you near tears! Either way, this book won’t disappoint! Lucy’s spunk and determination leave you rooting for her in the strongest way possible, hoping that she can break through the defenses that Cole’s built and get the life that she deserves. Yet, there are times that you just want to scream at Lucy for her stubborn streak, and other times that you are applauding her for standing up for who she is.

I think everyone should read this book! It takes the usual plotline, mixes in some spicy lovemaking, and delivers a great ending!
