This is the fourth book in the Dog Walker Series and very entertaining.
Ellie Engleman has a "reincarnated" dog named Rudy. He speaks to his mistress and is her best friend. As a professional dog walker, Ellie is always getting into trouble and sticking her pretty nose into the lives of her clients. She loves taking care of their best friends and works very hard to clear their names when they get involved in crime.
Rob Chesney and his dog Bitsy are very good clients of Ellie and he gives her free tickets to the latest show that he is starring in. Ellie takes her boyfriend along, NYPD detective Sam, to watch Rob emote on the stage. There is a surprise in store because Rob is not an actor, he is a famous drag queen and this is a real surprise to Sam. After all the dance numbers are over, Rob is found back stage leaning over a dead body with a weapon in his hand. Sam is compelled, because of his job, to arrest Rob and take him off to jail. Ellie is sure that Rob is innocent and, along with Robís dog, a Poodle-Chihuahua mix named Bitsy is going to investigate. The two amateur detectives are on the hunt from the sidewalks of Manhattan to the office of a pet psychic to help Rob through his troubles.
This was such a great read as I am an animal lover. It is a very delightful and amusing story full of great dogs who talk. Iíve always thought that my animals discuss me all the time when they get together as they have such funny looks on their faces when you come upon them suddenly. Readers will love Ellie and her dog. So, enjoy and Iíll talk to you soon.
