Anna Ridgeway has come to Grand Fernandino to do her mind reading act at a local nightclub. She can’t shake the feeling that she is in danger. She doesn’t know the local pagan leader has decided to make her his wife and use her psychic powers to improve his own. Anna meets Zachary Robinson in a strange way. She is sucked into a dream or trance and while she knows that somebody evil brought her to this place, she meets Zach in this trance. When they meet in real life, the sparks begin to fly.
Every time they touch, Zach and Anna become more connected to each other. They are able to speak mind-to-mind when they are touching. In addition, each touch sends a zing of sexual awareness and need through both of them. However, if they give into that need, will it cost them their lives? As they try to keep Zach from being killed by the one who wants Anna, they begin an incredible journey of discovery about themselves and their gifts.
This was a great suspense book that uses the romance and paranormal pieces well to bring a new and different package to the reader. Anna and Zach surprise each other with the things they learn they can do. It’s a fascinating gift they have and their psychic powers add to the relationship that springs up instantly between them. With both of them in danger at different points, I found myself rooting for them to get together---and for them to live.
At the conclusion of the book, you’ll find yourself unable to stop. The excitement hits a fever pitch at the end. The surprises that come up throughout the book will keep you guessing until the very last page.
