Eshe díAureus is an immortal enforcer. When a vampire goes rogue (namely getting out of control biting mortals and drawing attention to themselves) she and her fellow enforcers are called to bring in the rogue. Eshe is sent on a mission to bring in Armand Argeneau. She is told that suspicions are mounting against Armand regarding the deaths of his three previous wives, all of which were immortal. What Eshe was not told was how incredibly attractive Armand is or that she would find herself falling hopelessly for him.

Armand Argeneau lives in a small country town not far from the Canadian border on one of his many farms. His quiet world is shattered when Eshe díAureus comes roaring into town on her motorcycle clad in tight leather. Armand is told she is hiding from dangerous rogues bent on revenge for the death of their father. Armand agrees to let her stay at his farm until the fiends are apprehended, but he suspects there is more going on. With the deaths of his previous wives still haunting him, Armand is reluctant to open up to anyone especially Eshe. He realizes, though that love cannot be denied and finds himself falling for the lovely enforcer.

As Eshe starts asking questions concerning the deaths of Armandís previous wives, strange accidents start happening. Eshe believes that whoever is causing the accidents doesnít want her to find out what really happen all those years ago. Armand and Eshe realize they must work together to solve the mystery before Eshe becomes another casualty of Armandís love.

I am such a big fan of the Argeneau series. Ms. Sands has a virtual gold mine with these books and this latest addition is proof. Ms. Sands is able to weave a wonderful story with great plot, dynamic characters and a beautiful love story to rival any others on the bookshelves. Her description of Eshe is classic. She is strong woman who has to prove herself worthy of being one of the few women enforcers yet she is still vulnerable and feminine at the same time. Then there is Armand, a dark brooding man with a heart of gold that women find incredibly sexy. The attraction between the two is electric right from the moment they meet. Ms. Sands has certainly hit the mark with Born to Bite and I canít wait to see whatís in store for the Argeneaus in the future.
