Hi Readers,
A new cozy by Mary Jane Maffini featuring Charlotte Adams, the heroine of Closet Confidential. A wonderfully readable book that will keep you guessing until the last page.
Mona Pringle, the local 911 operator in Woodbridge is an old schoolmate of Charlottes and is calling Charlotte with her own emergency. One of the mean girls that used to pick on her and harass her all the time in high school has come back to live in town and Mona is upset and talks about how good it would feel to kill Serena and her three cohorts from school that used to tease and torment girls. Charlotte doesn't believe these rants of Monas but, a girl that resembles Serena is killed in a hit-and-run and Mona has disappeared. When another of the "mean girls" is also killed in a hit-and-run, Charlotte fells that she should look both way on the sidewalk and also look for Mona before someone else is killed.
I really love this series after having reviewed Closet Confidential. Hopefully, the author is working on the next one in the series as we speak. Charlotte Adams and her never say die attitude is a breath of fresh air. Charlotte is completely organized and makes a list for everything. A really super amateur detective. So, enjoy and I'll talk to you soon.
