Judd Lauren, a former member of the Arrow Squad, is conditioned to
control his feelings and be almost emotionless. The Arrow Squad is a a
special group of trained assassins, who stop threats to the Psy. Since
Judd turned his back on the Psy to save his family, he has been living
with wolf changelings. The Psy assume that the changelings killed Judd
and his family, because Changelings hate Psy.
Brenna Shane Kincaid, a wolf Changeling, was rescued after a psychotic Psy kidnapped and tortured her. Brenna has changed mentally and physically, because of these experiences. When she begins having nightmares, Brenna seeks out Judd for help. When one of her nightmares comes true, it becomes apparent that Brenna is in danger.
Ms. Singh creates an awe-inspiring world with coldly, calculating villains and sigh-inducing heroes. Judd is a very tortured hero, who has been conditioned from a young age to suppress emotions. However, when Judd gets close to Brenna, he feels his shields starting to crack. The Silence, that the Psy use to control their powers, is under attack by his emotions and the loss of it could have devastating consequences. Brenna is, also, a wounded soul, after her torture at the hands of a psychotic Psy. Slowly, these two beings grow to care and cherish each other. In the midst of their romance, the Psy council is scheming to bring down the Changelings. The Psy Council will cause a chill down anyone's spine! They make delicious villains.
Caressed by Ice is a must read for any lover of paranormal romance. Rush out and get your copy; you'll be glad you did.
