Cealie Gunther, a wonderful character, is a feisty, forever young grandmother, who is on a cruise to Alaska with her high school friends. She doesn't usually go on these get-togethers but, her son lives in Alaska and she thought it would kill two birds with one stone. She hasn't seen her high school buddies for many years but needs a break from her handsome lover, Gil Thurman before she gives up her freedom and agrees to marry him.
Gil is the owner of a chain of Cajun Delights restaurants and he has opened eateries in all the places that Cealie likes. But, she is hoping that he won't open one on a cruise ship. Cealie doesn't go for changing her appearance too much but, one of her classmates has turned very sexy and provocative and Cealie primps a lot more that she ordinarily would for this trip. She begins to wonder if she had really known her former friends at all. She runs into Gil on board and suspects that he is stalking her but, it turns out that he is there on business. One former friend is harboring a secret that Cealie is trying to help her with and one classmate who used to be a man is now a woman and has just gotten married on board. There have been multiple changes in the lives of these former school mates and Cealie is thrust into many secrets that finally lead to the death of a person she meets and then a class mate. As Cealie runs to find a killer, she finds that she may be the only one that can find out the identity of the person before there are more casualties.
This is the third book in the Cealie Gunther series but, the story is new so you can catch up right away. I wasn't able to name the killer and really got into it. I'd like to read the others and find out more about Cealie. Looking forward to number four. So, enjoy and I'll talk to you soon.
