Shannon Dysart is determined to prove the treasure that her deceased father claimed he knew of was real. Shannon has spent the last few years researching the clues that he left her so that she can prove him right, he wasnít crazy as some thought. All she had to do now is hire a guide and head west.

Never having to hire a guide before, Shannon apparently isnít the best judge of character since they have beaten her and left her for dead. Could it be that all they wanted was the treasure? Well, Shannon wasnít giving up she knew that God was leading her in the direction she should go.

Gabe Lasley, on his way to see his brother, happens to wander through the cliff dwellings of Colorado when he hears gunfire. How was he supposed to climb to the top of a sheer cliff to rescue a damsel in distress?

Shannon was distressed all right, putting it mildly but she had to count on God and sure enough He sent a man to help her. She sure hoped it was God that sent him since she wasnít that great of a judge of character. At the moment she had no choice but to trust Gabe. She had to get out of the cliff dwellings and move on to the next clue in her treasure hunt.

Though it wasnít easy, Gabe was happy to help Shannon get to the nearest town even though he was on his way to visit his brother. But when Shannon is threatened, Gabe canít leave her alone; and the longer they are together, the greater the attraction.

Gabe had no idea that Shannonís treasure map would lead them through an almost impossible trail winding down through the Grand Canyon. Gabe doesnít believe there is any treasure but he can no more leave Shannon than he could his horse.

The thieving pirates are hot on their trail. Will Shannon and Gabe be captured? Will they find the treasure? How will God lead and protect them from this deep trouble theyíre in?

Mary Connealy has a remarkable knack for creating an action-packed romance thatís interlaced with humor and subtle inspiration. Mary has a way of mixing just the right amount of these notable qualities with a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The Grand Canyon as the backdrop is depicted with an awe-inspiring paintbrush; though Iíve never seen it in person, I felt I had by the picturesque descriptions.

Get a tall glass of your favorite cool beverage and sit back and enjoy Shannon and Gabeís story. Deep Trouble will give you hours of sheer entertainment.
