Kelly Maloy really didn’t realize what she was getting into when she took a short-term job as a driver. When Ty Endeka gets into her car, she’s filled with such terror and at the same time, desire for the good-looking man. She knows she will be driving Ty around mostly at night, but what nobody let her know is that she’d become part of a battle against a non-human enemy. And as she comes face to face with vampires, shifters and demons, she learns that all of humanity depends on Ty and his friends defeating the enemy.
Ty is one of The Eleven; they are the Gods of the Night. They are fighting an evil foe that is trying to end the world on 12-21-12. He’s been resurrected after sixty-five million years. His soul is still a fierce animal trapped into a human form. He doesn’t plan for it to happen, but he begins to desire Kelly for more than just a means to satisfy him. He begins to care for her—and wonders how anything can ever come of it. An eternal being with an animal soul…Ty knows there’s no human who could take on that kind of baggage and ever love him.
Kelly finds Ty to be the most sensual man she’s ever been around. As she learns of his true purpose in Houston, she’s determined not to involve her heart. It’s very clear that once he is finished in Houston, he will go on to the next city doing the same things there to save humanity. Kelly’s a smart girl and knows that Ty is off limits for anything more than a casual affair. Too bad her heart disagrees.
Ty and Kelly are such strong people, but in vastly different ways. Their strengths compliment each other while causing friction between them at the same time. I found myself wrapped up in this book and it blew away my preconceived notions about what the story would be. Kudos to Nina Bangs for writing a paranormal that touches on the different subgroups of vampires, shifters, and etc. while keeping the overall story fresh and new. She worked within the pre-set paranormal standards and still managed to create a new group of people in the Gods of the Night. I was very impressed.
Eternal Pleasure is a romance, a mystery/suspense, a paranormal and a great read all wrapped up under one dust jacket. I think this book will have broad appeal to anyone who enjoys any type of paranormal books. The pieces of the paranormal community are woven together so well that the end product is simply amazing.
