A fun read that will keep you guessing while you head for the finish line.
Katie Connolly is a new mother who wanted to find a job that would help her family out and also not keep her away from her baby. She decided that the best job for her would be as a Private Investigator. This way she could work from her home and if she had to go out she could take the baby with her. Katie figured that if you were going to have to stay up most of the night anyway on stake-outs, you might as well solve crimes for a living.
It's almost Christmas and Katie and baby Laurie are on their way to have Christmas pictures taken when they are victims of a hit and run. They are not hurt and a witness to the accident identifies the license plates are from the French Embassy in San Francisco. Kate and her husband visit the French Consulate and get the run around. Upon leaving they see two television reporters coming out of the building. Some time later, the dead body of one of the reporters is found in Golden Gate Park. Kate is curious and wonders if there is something in this that involves the Consulate. Kate is hired by the dead reporterís family to investigate the murder.
This is a wonderful cozy that, as I said, will keep you guessing. This is the third in a series of Maternal Instincts Mysteries. It's fun watching Katie juggle her occupation and her child rearing. Enjoy, and I'll talk to you soon.
