If you've been living under a rock (or simply been on a vampire quest with Bella and Edward and haven't looked at another book), than you've been missing something extremely wonderful. This is the third book in an incredible series that takes the reader into a world where monarchs (faeries) rule over the various "houses" of this amazing realm. Much like Star Wars, there is an empire and rebellion (the bad and the good) standing together and against each other, trying to save their worlds before they crumble into nothing and disappear.
This third book in the series focuses on the love between Seth - a human male - who is madly in love with Aislinn. To take this story back a bit, Seth has wanted with all his heart to marry Aislinn and have a life with her. She's everything he's ever dreamed of. Unfortunately, as any young male will probably tell you - it's always a little difficult to have a girlfriend that you not only love - but who is also an immortal faerie queen. Those are the breaks, right? After this, dating a vampire doesn't seem too hard at all.
Aislinn has always been frightened of these faerie creatures. They terrified her. But now there's Keenan. Keenan was the one who stole her mortality and made her a monarch. Of course, Keenan also has feelings for another in the faerie realm. He needs to make his queen love him and dump the "normal" Seth, but there is also a passion in his soul for one in the kingdom that he's not supposed to want. The challenges these characters have to face are beyond anything you or they can imagine. They must work together to save their world before it disintegrates. In addition, Aislinn must stay true to the young man she loves, but keep her allegiances to the world she must now protect.
What can I say? Start at the beginning of this series, you will not be disappointed. The author knows her subject and the powerful descriptions of the locations are mesmerizing. I am a huge fan.
Until Next Time, Amy
