Hi Readers,

This book is so much fun to read and also very informative concerning Holiday recipes and Coffee recipes.

Clare Cosi is the proprietor of a coffee house in New York City. She grew up in an Italian family and has all the recipes from her Grandmother and her former Mother-in-Law and I can tell you they are MOUTH-WATERING!!!!! However, her significant other is a police detective and she really loves to help solve cases with him and has her nose firmly planted in selling coffee and solving mysteries. Clare has become very partial to a Santa who comes into the coffeehouse every day to warm up. Alfred Glocker is a part-time comedian and works as a Charity Santa during the holidays with a group called Traveling Santas that is run by a former brother in the church. Clare is looking for Alfred who had promised to come to a coffeehouse tasting and entertain her guests and did not show up. Unfortunately, she finds him dead in an alley behind an apartment building. Clare being Clare, looks around and finds some subtle clues that make her think that this is not a random killing. Along with her boyfriend NYPD Detective Mike Quinn who is distracted by his own work and her ex-husband Matt, who really likes to investigate the latest Sports Illustrated Swim Suit issue she races on by herself and discovers that Santa was checking his list and came upon some folks that were on it were very naughty and not very nice. Then someone tries to kill Clare and her daughter and that really gets her crazy. This is all I really want to say about the plot as I don't want to give anything away.

But, in the back of this book, there are some delicious recipes for coffeehouse coffee and wonderful Italian food that everyone would love. And, you can visit her virtual coffeehouse at the website above where there are postings of recipes and coffee news. And, here's a mystery for you. Cleo Coyle is a pen name and this is the 8th in the Coffeehouse Series. She also writes mysteries under the pen name of Alice Kimberly. The mystery: that's not her real name either!!!! HAPPY HUNTING!!

Mary
