Casey and Lacey Nicefolk, along with their dog, Floopy, had an amazing adventure last summer. It all started with a farm worker named Sucoh Sucop, who was quite mysterious. Yet he was quite magical. He built a machine that could take small things and make them life-size, then small again. But it was a secret only Casey and Lacey could share. Just as they shared the secret of flying the plane, Vin Fiz, last summer.
With school being out soon the twins plan their next big adventure. It must be more exciting than the last!
Casey proposes they enter the Gold Cup powerboat race. At first Lacey is reluctant, but soon sees the excitement in such an adventure. The twins eagerly begin their preparations. Lacey gathers navigation maps they need, and Casey builds the model boat that they will put on the magical pad.
The adventure begins, but not without a few glitches along the way. One of them being that the Boss and his henchmen are back. Having escaped from jail and committing another crime, they are hiding out. But the Boss is so angry with the twins for having helped put them in jail last summer that heís willing to come out of hiding to get his revenge. Surely a couple of kids and a dog couldnít outsmart him again.
Donít count Casey and Lacey out. They are inventive and clever. While a time or two they come across as disrespectful, they truly are kind and considerate. Colorful descriptions also add that extra oomph to make the story an exciting one.
The Adventures of Hotsy Totsy is bound to spark the imaginations of many children, just as itís sure to be a grand adventure in reading.
Iím eager for Casey and Laceyís next great adventure!
