Dear Readers,
This is a wonderful cozy, full of history, mystery and every other good thing that cozies are famous for.
Rebecca’s Uncle Oscar has passed away and Rebecca has taken over his antique store, The Green Vase, and his apartment in San Francisco. The Green Vase is not extremely popular but Rebecca is depending on her cat Rupert who has found packets of cash that Oscar hid all over the shop and apartment to keep her going. Rupert’s latest recovery is not cash but a toy bear holding a sign that says Nevada City. Nevada City is where the Tour of California starts and maybe a clue to a hidden Uncle Oscar treasure.
Rebecca, who is hoping to avoid Frank Lapis, a not very nice person who tried to get to her uncle’s secrets, along with her two cats (Rupert and Isabella) and Monty, her very nosy neighbor, head for Nevada City where she and the cats find another bear with a sign saying Sutter Fort.
The cats and their humans head for Sutter Fort and into trouble as Uncle Oscar’s enemies are waiting for them to find Oscar’s treasure so they can take it.
This exciting road trip goes from fun to bad to worse and back with the great cats who are able to solve almost any puzzle and look adorable at the same time.
This book is a very fast-paced cozy that readers who like a little something different will really love.
