Dear Readers,
The fourth in a cozy series featuring party planner, Presley Parker, is a wonderful romp through the movie business starring, you guessed it, VAMPIRES. I have to admit that I was getting really tired of the fanged ones until I received this book to review. I loved it!!
Presley's latest job is planning a wrap party for a vampire movie. The party is scheduled to be held in a cemetery. Before the party, Presley and some of her employees are setting up the tables and such and she meets a group of young people who practice "Parkour." This is a type of stunt where individuals jump from place to place without falling and these kids were extras in the movie but, not invited to the wrap party. Presley and some of her workers warn them that they are trespassing but they simply go on with what they were doing. The following morning, they find out that one of the kids (Spidey) is dead. It was thought that he fell while running and jumping but it is found that he was murdered. Starting with the cast and crew of the movie, including the producer/director, some photographers and the caretaker of the cemetery are suspects.
Presley, of course, decides to investigate on her own and puts herself in the path of the killer.
This is a fun book to read. It's extremely light-hearted, funny and not at all scary regardless of the Killer Vampire who is on the loose. Each chapter heading includes tips on party planning if you're interested in going that route and Presley and pals are great characters.
