Hi Readers,

An amazing story by a writer who pens very intelligent and believable characters. This is called a pet-sitter series and is a great series for pet lovers, of which I am one.

Kendra Ballantyne is an attorney who got a little tired of her 24 hour, rush, rush life and decided to slow down a little. She is now a pet sitter and an advocate for animal rights. She is looking forward to a weekend with her significant other, millionaire Dante DeFrancisco, in the San Bernardino Mountains. Dante sponsors an animal sanctuary called HotPets Center which now includes a wolf mother and three newborn wolf pups. When the mother wolf is found to be missing from the sanctuary and the wolf's caretaker dead in the cage, with a knife covered in blood at his side, Kendra and Dante's weekend getaway is stopped. And, Kendra thinks that maybe Dante knows more that he is telling.

Kendra immediately starts her own investigation and looks for suspects. It might be an angry local citizen that doesn't want the sanctuary near their home, or a volunteer, or Dante and his movie-star friend, Brody Avila, who excludes Kendra from any conversations that he and Dante have. Kendra thinks that these two friends share a mysterious past and perhaps ties to the victim. She must work to find the wolf and also the killer who is very near.

This is an enjoyable tale with two mysteries. Finding the kidnapped wolf and finding the killer of the caretaker. I recommend this book to mystery readers, animal lovers and all who enjoy a good story. The characters all have different personalities that make you love or hate them. The main character, Kendra, is humorous and likeable and I see this series going on and on. There are eight previous book in the series. So, pick one up and enjoy.

I'll talk to you soon,
Mary
