When one door closes, they say a window at least cracks open even a little bit and this is the case in 'í heart bloomberg'. With all of the characters at a crossroads, they are forced to act. Megan is stuck in an apartment sharing a room with one of them. Her roommate really isn't her style and Megan can hardly stand it anymore. Lelani is temporarily with extended family, one of whom is lecherous in his intentions. Anna is smothered by a traditional mother who even put in an swimming pool to keep her twenty-something children around. And then there's the ad for an exclusive house in a very desirable neighborhood. Three rooms are available and there are interviews. All three throw their hat into the ring and act, each desperate for a change.

Kendall owns the house, a house her grandmother gave to her as a token. With her shopping problem and her inability to get up before noon, she has no other prospects than taking in roommates. But down deep, she hopes to have chosen wisely for the roommates. And naturally, she interviews them at a location far away from the house that needs a makeover.

This novel reels you in, lightly at first with the characters all on the edge of change in where they live, jobs and boyfriends. The novel flows from character to character with their names as chapter headings. Carson is careful to leave all kinds of nuggets of information to discover later on. There is minor romance for all three but in more of a boy meets girl next door type of way. The book is truly about characters and how they attack the challenges in their life. The DIY scenes make you want to roll up your sleeves and join in too!

Overall, the novel is fresh and vibrant with amazing characters.

If you're looking for a light read with some uplift and inspiration, pick up this book!
