Jasmine "Jazz" Parker has worked herself into a male dominated field as a sniper with a SWAT team. After a childhood that was less than ideal, she has finally achieved her dream. She gave up a lot to get this position and values it more than anything or anyone in her life. Her whole world threatens to crumble when she discovers that someone appears to be sabotaging her. For her to miss a clean shot by 15 inches simply should never happen.

Luke Montgomery left a life of Special Ops and became a journalist. Not a fluff piece journalist but a hard-core, investigative reporter. This time his leads are taking him into the world of Internal Affairs of the Sheriff’s Department and into Jazz’s world. This proves problematic because for a brief time the two of them dated and had a pretty steamy relationship. It appears that the steam is still there as circumstances drive them together. When he and his family are threatened and his brother (also a police officer) is injured in the event with Jazz’s shot going wide, Luke is definitely not going to step away from the investigation or from Jazz.

Robin Perini has created a truly suspense-filled manuscript. In Her Sights keeps the tension up (romantically and suspense based) throughout the entire manuscript and keeps the reader’s interest peaked. There were a few minor mis-steps but they are truly minor. Overall, the characters are well created and dynamic. The scenes being set are quite believable, especially with having lived in the area. The plot is incredibly realistic and could easily happen tomorrow in any major metropolitan area. I look forward to future works by this author because she can only improve with age.
