Remington Wyatt is spending an evening with her godfather. She has lost both her parents so this man has become her only family and she enjoys whatever time she can get with him. Given that he is a federal judge, time is a precious commodity. The evening goes horribly wrong when unexpected people show up. Remington is upstairs so approaches cautiously, especially when she hears her godfather sounding uncharacteristically hesitant. Wondering if she should make her presence known, she stops when she recognizes the voices of the men with her godfather and then hears the gun shots. Hiding until they leave, she finds Daniel dying and he instructs her, with his final breathe, to check his safe.

Remington can’t believe the last of her "family" is gone but is also afraid of the men who killed him and of being blamed for his death herself. Opening the safe and taking the contents, she goes on the run. She is an accomplished psychologist with the FBI so she knows how they operate. She also knows what they expect a suspect to do so she takes on a new identity, changing everything about herself.

Some time later, FBI Agent Rafe Baxter is investigating what has now become a cold case into the murder of the federal judge. Following a trial of clues, he ends up in Hopewell, Louisiana where he meets Bella. He is totally unprepared for the journey Bella (Remington) is going to take him on.

Robin Caroll has created an interesting diorama into the inner workings of a profiler’s mind in Injustice for All. I loved the path she created for Remington to follow and how detailed each step became. With just the right amount of those details in the story, I was able to walk the path with Bella/Remington and come to understand why she did, what she did. I wish I had gotten to know Rafe just a bit better but I knew him well enough to know he was an alpha male who was confident in himself. Even when he started over at a new office, he stayed strong to his beliefs and did what he had to in order to get the job done. The storyline was quite unique and the characters introduce a lot of depth. I look forward to more from the Justice Seekers series.
