Kayla Shaw is a big time banker. Young, pretty, and intelligent, she has been given assignments to the banks biggest clients where millions of dollars of transactions occur every day. Life was fine until one of her clients, Andre Bertone, known as the "Siberian," wanted her to do illegal transfers. Her boss, Steve Folley was part of this transaction that would be considered money laundering, and the money would be used to supply war factions in Africa that were trying to overthrow the government.

Enter Rand McCree, an agent with St. Kilda Consulting, a "private" company whose objective was to stop crimes of money laundering, anything on the federal level. Rand was on a personal mission with his mind set to eliminate Bertone personally…years ago Bertone had shot and killed Rand’s twin brother, Reed.

The opportunity arises for St. Kilda and Rand to recruit Kayla as an agent so she could help them stop the transactions and Bertone’s evil ways; and of course, for the revenge of Reed’s death.

Along the way Rand and Kayla develop a relationship but it doesn’t hinder them from completing their mission. In fact, with the help of other St. Kilda agents they’re able to turn the situation around to a satisfying end.

The characters were very well developed from the beginning, which in turn helped understand and follow the story and the characters motivations.

Innocent as Sin is exciting, adventurous, intriguing, and touched with a little romance. It’s a well written page turning novel.

Elizabeth Lowell is an author worth waiting for. But let’s hope there’s not too long of a wait for her next story of suspense and intrigue.
