Dear Readers:
Waverly is a young woman who seems to have a perfect life. This is a girl who created greeting cards that became a huge hit in the market called "Honey Notes. " She also has a column in the San Francisco Sun that offers advice to all the women and men sending in their letters. Before this writing career, Waverly had worked in P.R. in the sports world and had been very good at that, as well.
As far as dating is concerned, Waverly had the "love of her life" and was heartbroken when he broke up with her to then go on and marry someone else. Who she’s dating now is a man named Jake. Jake is in the world of basketball and is - so far - a very kind, normal man who Waverly really likes. And at the beginning of our story she is getting ready to head out for a weekend in Atlanta in order to spend time with him in his own "world," to see if she can ‘fit’ into it. The one thing Waverly is a bit frightened of is ‘choking.’ She’s already done this with Jake once before, because she is still scared that he will be like the last one and simply dump her to go on to bigger, better pastures.
The people who are always by Waverly’s side are her two best friends. McKenna has recently gotten married and has moved to the other side of town, beginning her new life with her husband. Her other best friend is Andie, who is headed down her own path. Waverly is a bit befuddled, because she is starting to feel like she is standing still while the rest of the world is moving forward.
A career is opening up in front of her that could lead her straight to the Today show in NYC; and Jake has fallen across a business opportunity that may bring him to Argentina. Can a relationship survive that is THAT long-distance? Not to mention, with her two best friends beginning marriage, careers, and having children, Waverly is a bit afraid that she will be left out in the cold because of her fear and her inability to make up her mind about things. Add in a wonderful new neighbor named Red who has moved into Waverly’s building and seems to know a great deal about life, and the story opens up and covers all levels of emotion!
This is a very fun, Bridget Jones-‘esque’ story that will have many females laughing, and thinking about where they are with their own goals and what they want to do next. Enjoy!
Until next time,
Amy
