Jordie has always wanted a dad and more recently (since it doesn’t look like a dad is in his future) a computer. All the kids have computers and his teacher, Mr. Jenkins, says they’re important for school work. Well, if he can’t have a dad, then maybe he can have a computer. Soon an idea hatches to get his computer. Maybe a dad, too!
This sweet short story is seen through the mind and eyes of second grader, Jordie. While there is little time to really get to know all the characters, it is a pleasant read.
So if you have to hurry up and wait, whether picking up the kids, an appointment, or need a few minutes of "me" time, pick up Junior Matchmaker. And wait, relax, smile.
