Olivia Limoges is the protagonist/sleuth in this series which takes place in Oyster Bay North Carolina. Olivia is a tough woman who has returned to town as mysteriously as she left, and people of Oyster Bay don’t quite know what to make of her.
With the encouragement of Camden Ford, Olivia agrees to join the Bayside Book Writers group hoping to make a few new friends and also hoping to help clear her writers block. What she gets is murder, murders committing by a person who likes to leave poems along with dead bodies.
The pace of this mystery is a little slow, but not too slow. The characters are interesting and there is a slight hint of an upcoming romance. It took a little while to thaw to Olivia, but all in all she is a likeable sleuth. The author throws in a group of diverse characters ( a waitress, a book aficionado, a movie star) to help make things interesting and to add to the mystery.
