Mandy Newman, a family law attorney, is run off a bridge in an
attempt to murder her. When Mandy travels with her best friend and
colleague, Dana, they meet up with Dana's brother, Zachary Taylor.
Zack, who is a DEA agent, and Mandy have a past, and Mandy knows that
Zack steers clear of long-term relationships. Unfortunately, after
Mandy and her colleagues pick the winning lottery ticket, further
attempts are made on Mandy and her friends' lives. Zack becomes Mandy's
bodyguard, and they must work together to discover the villain behind it
all.
Kiss Me Deadly is a thrilling romantic suspense, that starts off with a bang and doesn't let up until the very end. Not only is the action intense, but there is a nice mystery woven throughout the book. Zack is a tortured hero, who has devoted his life to bringing down drug dealers, after his brother died of an overdose. Mandy, who has been hurt before, tries to stay away because she knows Zack's job comes first. Zack and Mandy grow even closer during the danger that ensues, and Zack has some hard decisions to make.
Kiss Me Deadly is a great action-packed romantic suspense, that I highly recommend.
