We’re back to the parallel dimension of Melotia. This time, it’s Amy Hart’s turn to be pursued. Alex Navarro is supposed to be protecting Amy Hart from harm. After Amy’s sister, Stephanie, and her now husband Mac went after a dimension hopping bad guy, he’s out for revenge. What better way than to get Stephanie’s sister?

Alex and Mac are from a dimension parallel to Earth. Their country of Melotia has been at war with Carronas for a long time. It looks like peace is at hand, but peace is a fragile thing. When the bad guy is sprung from jail, everyone is worried about the prophecy hanging over Alex’s---and therefore Amy’s head.

As Alex and Amy spar and go after each other verbally, we see the hints of love in bloom. Will either of them be able to swallow their stubborn pride long enough to win the other or will their fighting put a permanent rift in their relationship? With their enemy pursing them, will either of them live to see each other again?

Here’s another fantastic, page-turning story. I loved the first book, Swift of Heart and found Last Man Standing came with the same high quality. The plot moves along well and the storyline is so intriguing it hooks you right into it. Even though this is a sequel, I think a first time reader will be able to follow what has happened without a problem. A fascinating look at parallel dimensions and the problems of jealousy and greed that are found in any dimension.
