Jonas Wyatt is the Director of the Bureau of Breed Affairs. He is also one of the Lion Breeds. He has made it his priority to ensure that his kind are able to live their lives amongst humans. In doing so he has made several enemies and instilled fear in his colleagues. Merinus Lyons, the Feline Breed leader’s wife, knows Jonas and his moods all too well. She knows he is on a crash course to self destruction and she must devise a plan to bring him back. She decides to call in a friend to help her with her plan.
Rachel Broen has just started her secretary job with Jonas Wyatt, one of the most feared Breeds. His reputation has definitely preceded him buy Rachel is determined not to let him get to her. She matches his temper and surly attitude with calm and wit and manages to get under his skin. Rachel is taken aback by Jonas’s next statement. He claims that she is his mate. When Rachel’s daughter is kidnapped by enemies of the Breeds, Rachel must decide whether to trust Jonas and become his mate in order to save her daughter.
This was definitely one steamy read. I found that I had to put it down a few times because I was afraid the book would catch on fire. I loved the rapport between Jonas and Rachel. They know just what buttons to push with each other and the love they finally find with each other is amazing. Fans of the Breed series will most certainly love this newest addition.
