John Wright, a vampire, has a terribly infected fang but doesn't want to go to the dentist, because of a bad experience years ago with a blacksmith/dentist. Finally, John's assistant convinces him to go to the dentist, and he gets an appointment with a female dentist. John doesn't want to fall in love, because his former wife hurt him badly. Unfortunately for John, he finds his new dentist, Dr. Lauren Marsh, irresistible.
Love Fang is a very enjoyable paranormal, romance with appealing characters and an amusing plot. John, who has existed since the time of Henry VII, makes a great hero, because he gives Lauren the time and space to come to grips with what he is and make her own decisions about their relationship. Even though John is a vampire and must take blood to survive, he confines his prey to the dregs of society and makes it his mission to clean up the streets of Orlando. Lauren is understandably confused and has a very hard decision to make-- whether to remain human or take a chance on love and become a vampire. The very premise of this story is amusing, and Ms. Blexrud humanizes John by giving him allergies, as well as, a toothache.
Love Fang is a recommended read for a lazy afternoon, when you are in the mood for a chuckle.
