Casey knew he was different from other guys the minute he stepped into the club. Men were definitely not built like that these days. He was built like a god and he was looking for something or someone. Little did she know he was looking for her.
Theron is the leader of the Argonauts, an elite group of guardians that defends the immortal realm from threats from the Underworld. He is a direct descendant of Hercules, the strongest and best of the original Argonauts. He has been sent to our world in search of his fiancée, a woman he doesn’t love. When he finds her in a strip club, he finds another problem waiting there for him. He finds Casey who has the mark. She had to die in order for his kind to live and it was his duty to bring her in. What seems like an easy assignment turns into a whirlwind ride of hope, love and loss. He doesn’t realize until too late that she is part of the turmoil in his life and he must make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the safety of his people. Will he be able to escape the temptation and do what must be done for his people to survive?
This was an explosive beginning to what ultimately will be a great series. I was so excited to be able to read the first in a fresh and exciting new series. Ms. Naughton did not disappoint. Any story that delves into Greek mythology immediately grabs my attention and it was interesting to see Ms. Naughton’s take on the story of Jason and the Argonauts.
If you are a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, this is a great addition to have. Readers will be mesmerized and captivated by this wonderfully dramatic new series.
