Elena Cabrera would really like to be part of a couple and she thought she found it with Antonio. But he is going another direction and it doesnít include Elena. She could take comfort in her family except her devoted parents are going through a divorce. Why? Well, it seems her mother had an affair long ago and her dad really isnít. The patriarch of the Bravo clan is her biological father. This all seems so overwhelming.
Then her father (the one who raised her) decides to sell the family business so that he can retire. It isnít that Elena wants to take over the business because she enjoys being a teacher but this again seems so soon. Then when she starts experiencing feelings for Rogan Murdoch, the man purchasing the business, that seems almost surreal.
A night of passion soon takes Rogan and Elena to new levels as Elena discovers missing a pill, or was it two, doesnít make for foolproof contraceptive methods. They have a lot to overcome if they are going to make it together.
Christine Rimmer has taken a story we have all heard (the accidental pregnancy) and turned it into an endearing story with characters we can easily relate to. Elena has had her entire world rocked and she comes out stronger and more determined on the other side. Rogan is the strong hero who comes alongside her to put some fire back into her life and yet he can be so gentle and loving when the time calls for it. Truly a nice read!
