Kristin Daniels is the host of the television show Hoax Hunters. She travels the world dispelling the local myths. She uses science and her own knowledge and gets to the truth behind the myth and exposes them. Her latest adventure takes her to Scotland. There she will try to debunk the myth of the famous Loch Ness Monster. It doesnít take Kristin very long to realize that she may be in over her head with this one. Her first night finds her face to face with the seductive Liam Grant. Kristin knows there is something off about Liam, but finds herself falling under his spell.
Liam has an unusual secret. He is the guardian of Loch Ness and those that live in the neighboring village. When Kristin comes wondering into town bent on exposing the myth of Loch Ness, Liam knows he must stop her. Liam was not expecting, however for Kristin to capture his heart. Now Liam must decide if he should convince Kristin to leave or risk everything by telling her the true story of Loch Ness and its resident monster.
The few books I have read in Lori Handelandís Nightcreature series have been wonderful. Moon Cursed is definitely no exception. I love how she has taken local myths (and readers will find this in her other entries to the series) and given them a twist. If you have read other reviews I have done, youíll know that I am a great fan of strong women characters. Kristin Daniels is just another example of the take charge, strong women that I have come to love reading about. She is not satisfied with what people tell her, she finds the need to go in search of the truth herself. Liam is the perfect fit for her. He is just as strong and determined as she is, but instead of the relationship being strained they compliment each other nicely. The ending to Liam and Kristinís story is mesmerizing and wickedly exciting. I canít wait to see what Ms. Handeland comes up with next.
