Cinn, which is short for Cinnamon, is the new plant expert at A Castle of Dark Dreams. Dacian is a vampire who has been "dead" for 200 years but dug up and brought back so he can protect his brother Taurin. Dacian believes Taurin is going to be kidnapped and held to get to him.

Both Cinn and Dacian have some very dangerous non-humans after them. Dacian's maker, the Vampire that made Dacian a Vampire himself, Steven keeps trying to call Dacian back to his side. When he refuses Steven makes Dacian go into a rage of a killing rampage of humans.

Cinn, without even knowing it is in fact a demigoddess, or a lesser Goddess with some traits of the goddess Airmid, who she has no idea how she is related to, in her. Cinn gets her special touch with plants from† Airmid who is the goddess of healing plants. Airmid is after Cinn because of her experiments. Cinn's plants are developing feelings and become able to communicate telepathically. Airmid is not happy about this and wants the plants destroyed.

Together, while fighting an attraction that is very strong, Dacian and Cinn must find a way to protect who and what they hold most dear. They are not alone though. Sparkle Stardust and Ganymede, the owners of A Castle of Dark Dreams along with a few friends/employees are also going to help. Hopefully all of them are enough to stop the forces that are set to destroy them.

Dacian and Cinn together are a force not to be taken lightly. Their attraction to one another makes it even stronger. I loved Cinn who at the beginning of the book is so unsure of what is not "normal" around her; but once she sets eyes on Dacian, itís all most like you can feel her concerns go out the window. For Dacian, Cinn makes him feel more human. Even while being physical with Cinn, he refuses to give into his vampire wants and needs, which is a very big feat for him or any vampire. They compliment one another very well and make a very good team throughout the book.

I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. The way it was written kept giving you samples of what was going to come but holding it back to keep you reading till the final battle. I will most definitely recommend this book to others and be looking for any other books in A Castle of Dark Dreams series.
