If you are, like me, an avid Jessica Fletcher fan you will eat this up. If you don't know who Jessica Fletcher is, and if you don't you must be living in a very out of the way place, this book is based on the television show Murder She Wrote, which was very popular in the recent past and is still in reruns.
In Cabot Cove, Maine where Jessica Fletcher, famous mystery writer lives there is a lovely, young lady who is very into country/western music and shows a lot of promise as a singer. Jessica and a group of her friends who are also citizens of the town get together and send Cyndi Gabriel on somewhat of a academic/learning trip to Nashville, TN where she can obtain some professional instruction.
Some time later, the citizens of Cabot Cove learn that Cyndi has been charged with the killing of a brash and brutal music producer. Cyndi's mother pleads with Jessica to travel to Nashville and help Cyndi out of her predicament. Jessica discovers that the producer was not a very nice man. It seems that he has a rash of ex-wives, has cheated his partners out of much money, swindled many other singers in his charge and ruined enough lives to pile up a slew of suspects for Jessica. In order for Cyndi to pursue a career, Jessica has to uncover the true murderer.
I know all mystery readers will enjoy this book. Jessica is a true find and I'm so happy that these books have come out after the TV show ended. So enjoy, and I'll talk to you soon.
