Noelle Granton has only been back home a matter of months and already she feels as if she’s in competition with Nick Jensen. Again. Still. It started the day they were born and hasn’t stopped. At least in Noelle’s mind it hasn’t. Would it ever end?

The pastor thinks it should. It’s either put the competition and rivalry aside and decorate the church for Christmas or resign as youth group advisors. Reluctantly they agree. After all they’re adults, it shouldn’t be too hard to try and get along.

Ha! Easier said than done, but when a situation arises demanding they come together, they start to see each other in a different light. Maybe that will be enough for them to change their attitudes and quit competing. Perhaps now that Noelle sees that Nick isn’t such a bad guy she can be honest with him. Quite possibly, though, it may be too late to find their way into each other’s heart.

Kara Lynn Russell created characters that felt real and embodied many of the conclusions we often jump to as well as thoughts and feelings we find ourselves experiencing.

Nick and Noelle is a warm and sweet story. One to curl up with and enjoy any time of the year.
