Lilah Jane Tunkle has decided she is tired of the quiet easy life of Virginia and endeavors to go to Manhattan to help out in her friendís restaurant. She decides to meet him for drinks in one of the local dives and meets the most gorgeous man. Instead of being the shy Lilah, she decides to live on the edge and has a one night stand with the sexy stranger. Little does she know that this wonít be the last she sees of him.

Devon Sparks has made a career of being one of the worldís top chefs. His restaurants are doing well, he has his own reality show and he has all that money can buy. Now one of his friends is asking him to take over his restaurant for a week while he is on his honeymoon. Devon thinks this will be a piece of cake until he meets one of the new workers. Itís none other than Lilah Jane, the woman he had a one night stand with. To make matters worse his past is about to catch up with him. Will Lilah be the one to crack the hard exterior of Devonís heart or will he find his life and career sizzle before his eyes?

This was a really good read. Itís rare that I go for the strictly romance books but this was a really quick read. I love Lilah Jane and Devonís banter and how they seem to fire back and forth at each other. This story shows the real work behind running a restaurant and the camaraderie that forms when making a meal. Devon tries to be this strong man and chef and seems to have everything except for someone to share it with. Lilah Jane is just the person to help him. This book was a culinary delight, rich and tasty from cover to cover.
