Hi All,

Rebecca Lopez and William Shakespeare first meet in a graveyard in London where she is burying the man she was to marry and he was there to bury his best friend.  The next time they see each other they are about to avenge the murders of their friends by the Spanish Inquisition in her case and out among English criminals in his.

Rebecca's father is Queen Elizabeth's physician and holds high regard in the kingdom.  Rebecca and her family are also "conversos" -- Jews who practice their forbidden religion -- who are helping others of their faith escape persecution and death at the hands of the Spanish Inquisition.  And, William Shakespeare is out to find the murderer who killed his friend.  Shakespeare offers excitement to Rebecca as she goes into the streets of London in men's clothing to experience the only kind of adventures available to men.  One trip into London's teeming underground is taking her into a dangerous nest of intrigue and murder.  Rebecca and Will embark on an adventure that will shake the foundations of Elizabeth's England and almost change the course of history.

This is a book made for English History buffs.  I am a great fan of Faye Kellerman's stories of Peter Decker and Rita Lazarus, who are a detective and his wife who solve great mysteries.  I have not, up until now, read these stories of English History.  It is a very readable book and, as I said, history fans will love it.  I was not moved too much by it but, I love Faye Kellerman.  So, Ms. Kellerman, keep 'em coming.  You are a fabulous writer.

Talk to you soon,
Mary
