Rainbow’s End is a place that really does exist. It is the place where Jill Whelan has hid from the world, a world that pulls away from her because of the scars she carries. Her art and nature are the things she clings to until the day a man shows upon her doorstep in desparate need of a place to stay.

It is pouring rain and the storm is getting worse. Keith Michaels needs a place to stay but the few tourist locations in the area are full and he is running out of hope. That is until a store owner directs him to Jill’s place with the promise that she has an extra cabin that she might be convinced to let him use. Keith has spent months on the road and he needs a place to finish healing and Rainbow’s End becomes that place for him as well. His scars may not be visible to the naked eye but they are there none the less.

As God works on them individually, a couple wounded people are finding that there truly is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Irene Hannon has created a touching story of reality. We all carry scars and wounds, even if no one but us knows that they are there. Jill and Keith are both characters that have quite a bit of depth and layers and the reader quickly finds a place to meet them and to join in the story. I like the imagery she creates and the heart-tugging realizations of the characters when it comes to finding love.
