Ambitious documentarian, Rina Calhoun, films risk-taking bad boys for her X-treme DVD line. This editor/director is trying, with the help of these adrenalin junkies, to win a grant that would allow her to go overseas and film the documentaries that will change the way people look at the world. She wants nothing more than to follow in her uncle’s footsteps and bring home the human, political, and life-changing stories that will fulfill her life.

Enter…John "Cash" Cushman, the newest bad boy in her ultimate surfer video, who refuses to sign the release that would allow Rina to use his expert talent and stunning looks on film. Rina knows that the perfect pictures of the overly good-looking man would surely capture the attention of the grant-writers – so no cooperation from him means there will be no big break for her.

Cash wants to help the hard-working good girl but, to sign the release, would mean revealing his secret life as a navy SEAL and would blow his cover completely out of the water. As the stubborn director stumbles into his secretive world, Cash will have to risk everything to save her.

Although this book is formulaic – bad boy versus good girl where bad boy ends up good and falls for good girl – the addition of his being a SEAL, and the look inside this amazing organization of real heroes, is something to read about. In addition, the way Cash is described makes you want to put down the March of the Penguins documentary and run to find an X-treme sports DVD, on the sheer hope that there are actual adrenaline junkies that look like this character.

The twists and turns of the story are known well ahead of time but, readers who enjoy the Harlequin sensual series will certainly enjoy this book.
