Without giving anything away, I will say I quite liked how Ms. Gallagher put the twist on Finn’s background. Not only was Maureen fascinated by how he came to life off the "page," but I was as well. It was interesting the way Ms. Gallagher interlocked the pieces so that when Maureen learned more about Finn, it was as an extra layer, not a disappointing reveal.
Romance by the Book was an unexpected surprise. It was light, touching, romantic, with some sizzle thrown in. Quite an enjoyable read.
