Adam Troyer was desperately in love with Sarah Beachy. For some reason Adam couldn’t understand, Sarah was putting off joining the church so they could get married. It was during this Christmas season that Sarah realized what was holding her back from making her commitments. Her brother Caleb left several years ago and became English with no contact with the family. She’s seen how this has broken her mother’s heart and hurt the family, especially during the Holidays. Would Sarah be strong enough to raise her children knowing there was a chance they would also leave and turn their back on their family and their Amish culture?
Sarah is determined to find her brother to ask him why he left. If she understood his reasons maybe she could come to terms with her fears and commit to the church in order to marry Adam.
During the Christmas season, miracles happen in many shapes and sizes. Will Adam be able to let Sarah find her answers before he turns away from their love? Will Sarah find Caleb and how will he react to seeing her? Will Caleb be able to swallow his pride and seek forgiveness from God and his family?
Sarah’s Christmas Miracle is a sweet story of commitment, love and forgiveness. Ms Elllis has a way of giving the reader empathy for her characters which will pull at your heart. A worthy story at any time of year, but if you like Christmas like I do, this will pull at your heart hoping that Sarah, Adam and her family will get their Christmas miracle.
I would have liked an epilogue to see what becomes of the family. But maybe Ms Ellis will tell Caleb’s story next; it appears that he has quite a story to tell.
