British bad boy rock band ShadowsForge is back on the road in America. They are wild, hard living and hard loving men. Women lust after them and men want to be like them. So why aren't the boys themselves as appear as there hard rock personas?

Jordan Cantrell wants more than just sex from a relationship. When groupie Crystal attaches herself to the band can she give Jordan the love he craves or will the lure of glamour be too much for her to change her ways? Will a fight with a friend break up more than just a long time friendship?

After a drunken night, Geoff Richards cannot recall everything that happened to him or the woman who is tied to his bed. Did he attack Diane? Everyone seems to think he did but is there more behind it? What is Diane trying to hide? Will she use the soft hearted Geoff to sort out her troubles?

Jordan's need for a nonsexual start to a relationship was interesting in the fact that it was both sweet and sad. Sweet that he is looking for love and sad that you just know he will be disappointed. As for Geoff, I originally thought what a pig for the way he treated Diane but as the story evolved I felt sorry for him. I was pleased to see that Alexis and Ty, from the first ShadowsForge were in this book. As characters they provide a excellent counter balance to the craziness of the other band members. They are the stable, married and in love couple that the others secretly aspire to be like.

It was interesting to read backstage life of the group and what it took to keep them going - roadies, wardrobe people and minders. It's not hard to believe that friendships can get easily strained with the ongoing pressure to perform and be something that the public wants.

Although ShadowsForge 3: Retaking America is about a British rock group, it’s also about real, fallible people whose lives are messy and complicated. To me, that makes the book believable and readable. I read the first ShadowsForge book and I liked it. Reading number three was like catching up with old friends. I wanted to see how Ty and Alexis were going and what had happened to the British bad boy band.

I like the ShadowsForge boys. They are wild in deed but not of heart. I would be happy to check on the adventures of these boys again to see if they do find true love.
