Dear Readers,

Rita Jewell has the job that she always dreamed of, selling clothes and accessories to the fabulous rich of San Francisco. She is sent off to Miami Beach by her boss, Dolce Loren to get a pair of shoes for a customer. Dolce has a Boutique in San Francisco that caters to women who love to get the perfect accessories for their outfits and dazzle the charity mavens and fashion photographers. Rita picks up the shoes and heads back to San Francisco, where Dolce's client, MarySue Jenson will be wearing them to enhance her outfit at a very fancy charity affair. When MarySue shows up to pick up the shoes she finds that she doesn't have the money to pay for them so, she snatches the shoes from Rita and runs out of the store. Rita goes to MarySue's home to try to snatch them back and gets hit over the head, ending up in the hospital, unfortunately, without the shoes. Following the charity do MarySue is found dead in Golden Gate Park and the shoes are missing. Rita and Dolce are suspects as the detective thinks they stole the shoes back.

Rita has recently moved from Ohio to San Francisco and lately she has had little or no social life and now she's connected with a murder investigation. Three different men; a doctor, the detective and a Romanian gymnastics teacher. Rita, Dolce and these three swains keep the book going as each outfit she puts on deserves quite a bit of room in the book and are fun to read. and for the last six months, her social calendar has been empty. Now that she's involved in a murder investigation, she has three very different men that seem to be interested in her: Dr. Jonathan Rhodes, the ER doctor that treated her; Nick Petrescu, a Romanian gymnastics teacher; and the handsome Detective Wall. Reading about Rita choosing her outfits and preparing for her dates with each man is a fun part of the book.

Readers who know more about fashion and fashion designers would probably appreciate this book other than some who are less knowledgeable. But, nonetheless the book is a good read and will hold your interest. It's a little difficult to imagine that a person would kill for a pair of shoes but, what do I know. Enjoy!!

Mary
