Who would have thought a chance encounter with a sweet old lady would be the catalyst to make Kellie and Liz’s dreams come true?

Opal mistakes Kellie for an interior designer with whom she had an appointment. Even though she sets Opal straight, Kellie is soon talked into redecorating Opal’s apartment with Liz’s help. Kellie has always dreamed and desired to design more than just family and friends’ homes.

Soon a warm bond is formed between the three women. But it doesn’t stop there. Opal presents Kellie and Liz with airline tickets to London. A dream come true for Liz. The only catch? Accompany Opal on the flight and see that she gets to her sister’s home safely.

Couldn’t be any easier than that, right? So plans are made, excitement levels are through the roof. Murphy’s Law/the best laid plans…take your pick. From the time they step on the plane things don’t go according to plan. It seems as if there are forces plotting against them.

But wait. After a few initial frustrations they end up having the time of their lives even with all of the missteps and road blocks. Evidently God does have a hand in everything they do; Liz and Kellie would have never thought to travel down the roads they ended up on, seeing the sights they got to see—in a whirlwind sort of way.

Who would have thought God would want to direct a vacation? Who would have thought they’d have a better time than "planned"? Certainly not Liz who begins to question and marvel at God’s participation in her life; her vacation of all things!

Sisterchicks Go Brit! serves up characters that are warm yet all too human, descriptions that place the reader at the scene, and friendship that’s one of a kind.

In a fun and engaging way, Robin Jones Gunn reminds us that God wants to be a part of every aspect of our lives, not just in times of tragedy…entertainment and food for thought all rolled into one read. Ms. Gunn is a one-of-a-kind author.
