Dear Readers,

All lovers of Scrapbooking will love this 9th book in Laura Childs’ Scrapbooking Mysteries, very entertaining and interesting plotting and characters.

Carmella Bertrand, owner of Memory Mine Scrapbooking shop and her friend Ava Gruiex, JuJu Voodoo store owner are visiting historic St. Tristan’s Church in New Orleans’ French Quarter when they hear a noise in the "Spooky" church and go to investigate. They find Byrle Coopersmith, one of the regular scrapbooking group’s members has been killed. A figure, wearing a hood has pushed a statue into the victim and escapes. As the women call 911 they learn that an old crucifix is missing.

Carmella is noted for her snooping into police affairs and her significant other Detective Edgar Babcock warns her to stay out of it. But, as usual, Carmella and Ava do not stay out of it and start to investigate the murder of their friend.

Readers will love this new Laura Childs Scrapbooking Mystery as the girls get right into the middle of danger in their investigation of this new case. The book is a fun read and there are Scrapbooking helpful hints in the back of the book. Pick this one up, it’s a true winner and New Orleans is the perfect place for some really frightening stories.
