This is the most incredible story I’ve read in a long while. Elle has known Boone as the only male in her age range that isn’t related to her. She may not realize it, but he’s the only man she ever loved. However, when her twin brother disappears, Boone and Elle search to find him. They find Zander, but it’s just too late for them to be able to help him. Elle blames Boone for Zander’s subsequent death and draws away from him. Boone takes off on a suicide mission to try to get Zander back from where he may be held prisoner.
Elle, finding out she’s Princess Arielle of Oasis, decides to devote her life to duty as future ruler of Oasis. She is determined to gain enough power to punish the Circe women who ruined her life by killing her brother and resulting in the death of her one love.
While I realize this is the third book in this series, it flows so well, that I never found it difficult to follow. I think returning readers will receive enough reminder information to keep them in the story, but they won’t be bogged down with too many prior details.
Here is a page turning, suspenseful, adventuresome, futuristic romance. Colby Hodge knows how to weave a story so spellbinding and realistic, the reader is compelled to keep reading. You have to find out what happens next. I spent my non-reading moments wondering what was happening in the book.
Star Shadows is a must-have book for keeper shelves everywhere.
