Marcy, along with her wonderful Irish Wolfhound, Angus are the proud owners of The Seven-Year Stitch, an embroidery shop in Tallulah Falls, Oregon. Marcy and Angus relocated to Oregon from California after a bad break-up with her former boyfriend. She loves it in Oregon and her friends Sadie and Blake MacKenzie own a coffee shop in the same town and are close by. The MacKenzie's talked Marcy into coming to Oregon and opening her shop to get away from the big city and relax.
Sadly, trouble begins when an elderly lady, Louisa Ralston, comes into the shop and asks Marcy to "find Ivy". Shortly after this, Louisa passes away in the shop leaving a piece of an embroidered sampler with Marcy. It is discovered, by the police, that Louisa has been poisoned and Marcy is suspect number one.
Marcy is sure that the antique sampler has something to do with Louisa's death and maybe an older crime that someone may have killed to hide. She feels that it is up to her and her friends and her dog to unravel this embroidery mystery.
I really liked this book. Having had the company of an Irish Wolfhound for many years, I could see him in my mind all the time. These gentle giants are such great company. The mystery is a good one with many suspects, which is what I like and so will you. So, enjoy and I'll talk to you soon.
