Summer Lovin’ is made up of three stories entitled The Preacher’s Daughter, A Baby on the Way and A Reunion Romance. All three of these stories center around the high school reunion. The Silver Cliffe High School is being moved, so to speak. A brand new high school has been built and the old school is being turned into condominiums. To that end, the city has invited all classes for one last high school reunion in the old school.

Jake Turner is a bad boy returning to town. His mother has been a drunk and had many men visit their home throughout his childhood. One friend he had though was Amanda Winslow who had started as his tutor and became more. In spite of their friendship, Jake had to make his way in the world and left town to do it. Amanda stayed but never forgot the man who made her heart race.

India Foster is a new citizen of Silver Cliffe having moved there for a new position with a hotel. Upon arrival she is mistaken for a past graduate and finds she likes the feeling of camaraderie she is experiencing. However, in the course of sitting in on the dinners and rooming with some graduates (they were out of other rooms), India meets Graydon Johnson. Graydon is trying to find his own life. He lived a life in the fast lane until his wife left him and their son and now he is trying to be the perfect family man.

Brady Cornell and Holly Stevens have known each other for what seems like forever. They were close once upon a time but things changed and they drifted apart. Now, Brady is returning to town—not only as a graduate but also as a representative of the company trying to buy the lodge where her gift shop is. That purchase will put her store on the street and leave her without a livelihood. How do they reconcile their feelings when they see each other again with their careers?

Often times it is tough to pull together a romance, which is believable, in a short story. However, these three women have done just that. Each of these stories creates a different feeling and background; however, they all stem from the same event. They flow well into each other but are not dependent in any way on the other. All in all, the greatest of relationships.

I love the writing styles and how even with these short stories I was able to grasp the emotions of the characters, have a few chuckles and just a few heart tugs. This is a great kick off to summer!!
