I loved the intrigue and the suspense. I found the characters to be so full of depth and so realistic. It was like reading about your best friend. Stephanie and Mac have to walk down the rocky path of broken trust in order to find each other again. As so many of us have walked this same path, I found their story to feel deeply personal to me and relevant to my life. How do you forgive a grievous wrong? Can you learn to trust again? Can things ever be the way they used to be? These are some of the powerful questions we grapple with through Stephanie and Mac’s lives.
The ending leaves the doorway open for a sequel involving Stephanie’s sister, Amy. I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to read Amy’s story soon.
